29 Area Students Receive FCMC Foundation Health Career Scholarships Totaling $47K

Six graduating high school students and 23 college students, including five post-graduate students, were awarded stipends ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 by the Foundation’s scholarship committee.

“They each shared their enthusiasm about their career aspirations, whether they are starting their collegiate journey, or nearing the completion of it,” said Mike Straley, Executive Director of the FCMC Foundation. “Our committee was impressed with the different fields of study our young people are pursuing…nursing, physician, dentistry, optometry, mortuary science, occupational/physical/respiratory therapies, clinical psychology, sonography, paramedic, biomedical engineering, surgical tech and pharmacy.
