By providing scholarships to assist persons entering health careers, the FCMC Foundation is dedicated to supporting the next generation or health care professionals.

Community and Patient Health Education

The Medical Center offers many community education programs through its community benefit department. These include:

Fulton County School Health Fairs—Including nutrition, fitness, dental care and more
Annual Women’s Health Fair
Annual Healthy Hunters Screening
National Nutrition Month
Patient Nutritional Education
Lunch to Learn Series open to the public at the Medical Center, including topics like heart health, cancer, urinary health, women’s health smoking and more

Healthcare Practitioner Continuing Education

Medical technicians, nurses and other Medical Center staff require constant training and reinforcement in order to maintain the highest level of healthcare quality and be certain FCMC meets all state and federal regulations. Examples of continuing medical education include:

Radiology and other diagnostic technicians
Emergency Services
Long term care nursing and support
Emergency preparedness
Patient sensitivity
